 President Thiaggu led a delegation of 10 Rotarians from Rotary Club of Bandar Sungai Petani to the Vibrant Club Seminar hosted by Rotary Club of Alor Star and conducted by the District Training Team.    It also happened to be DGN Arvind's birthday   Thanks to Rotary Club of Alor Star for the calligraphy art souvenirs  RCBSP handed over a wheelchair to a Polio patient. The hardly-used wheelchair in excellent condition was donated by Ms Yugeswari. Our thanks to her.
 In Rotary Vocational Service Month of January, Rotary members and family visited 2 work sites 1. President Thiaggu's construction site, where work is on-going by his company, NBB Construction 2. Past President Shanmuganathan's Peruvai Steel & Trading recycling yard.    Rotarians Moorthy, Sanmugam and Jeevan distributed school socks to 70 schools with the assistance of Penolong Pegawai Pendidikan Daerah Kuala Muda (Hal Ehwal Murid) En Mohamad Satir bin Hamid).  212 students from SJKT Somasundram, Sungai Tukang, Sungai Petani had their eyes checked for refraction errors in this joint project by Lions Club of Sungai Petani and Rotary Club of Bandar Sungai Petani. The mobile unit from Lions Club of Alor Setar Host was called upon to perform the examinations.    We sponsored 5 units of air conditioners to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato' Bijaya Setia, Sungai Petani. They were installed at Block A, which is located near the main road. Due to noise and dust pollution, the windows cannot be opened and students have no other options to relocate. Hence, those classes needed the air-conditioning.     
 Socks for Children project continues, aiming to reach children before school resumes in January 2023. Thanks to all volunteers who helped out in the distribution of socks to reach the children of Sungai Petani and its environs.
