 Rotarian Sanmugam organised the first TRF Run to raise funds for The Rotary Foundation at SJKC Lin Khay, Bandar Sri Astana today at 9 am for Rotarians, family members and friends. It was a fun day for all who attended. Not only did they raise more than RM 5,000, but they also doubled as ploggers and collected rubbish strewn along the trail.

 Rotarians swing into action on Saturday to deliver wheelchairs to needy recipients in Bedong area. Rotarian Sharavanan, our Club Service Projects Chair, led the way. He was joined by PP Moorthy, PP Shanmuganathan, Rotarian Jeevan and potential members Komathi and Saravana.          Student leaders from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Sintok Ms Khausalya and Mr Vikesh briefed us on the first Sanitary Pad Bank Project in UUM aimed at alleviating period poverty which was a real problem amongst some students in the School of Economics, Finance and Banking of UUM. The bank was launched in July 2023 and they see about 60 pads a day being utilized by students. The student population of the School is about 3,500. Handing over the President's Jewel
President Prassana Krishnan was installed as the 14th President of Rotary Club of Bandar Sungai Petani in a well-attended ceremony on 15 July 2023 at Park Avenue Hotel, Sungai Petani. She is the first lady President of the club. Immediate Past President Thiaggu thanked the Club's avid supporters and sponsors. He then passed the President's jewel to Prassana, witnessed by District Governor Teoh Kwan Swee and Assistant Governor Koek Yee Jeen. President Prassana gave an inspiring speech and subsequently installed the Board. Guest-of-Honour Governor Teoh addressed the assembly at the finale.
