This will enable students to have access to drinking water and refill their water tumblers in school. The water filters cost RM10,000. The following schools are benefiting from the project: SJK(C) CHOONG CHENG SJK(C) CHING CHONG SJKT LDG.LUBOK SEGINTAH SJKT KALAIVAANI SJK(T) LADANG SUNGKAP PARA SJKT PALANISAMY KUMARAN Major Chandra presented a set of encylopedias to SMK Dato Bijaya Setia. Dr Bernard Chan and Dr PK Rajesh gave a talk on Polio and Vaccines to the Interactors and other students. Dave Kameron spoke at the Rotary Club of Bandar Sungai Petani meeting on 7th September.
Without a doubt, Dave and Maryanne Kameron are passionate about the refugee children in Alor Setar. They are trying their level best to give these children a chance in life. These are children who can neither get an education in schools, nor are they entitled to free government healthcare. They live in unsanitary conditions and going to school run by NTA Social Enterprise is the only education that they are getting. NTA also provides them vaccinations and medical care that they did not get. "We had a passionate speaker, Dave. The speaker brought out the iceberg under the projects he is involved in. I could sense the depth of the mixed feelings the speakers wife and team member shared insights regarding the obstacles they encountered and the innovations they developed along the way to tailor to their needs." This is a joint project with Rotary Club of Penang sponsored by U-kids Trading. |
