This Rotary year kicks off with a medical camp held at Steris, Kuala Ketil. Steris kindly provided us the location, complete with canopy, meals for volunteers and participants, gifts for blood donors and the manpower to run the program.
MAKNA's mobile mammography unit came all from KL the way for screening mammograms for women above 40. They also set up cancer education exhibits for the public.
Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim's blood bank and organ donation team were on hand to receive blood donation from the public and receive organ donation pledges.
For the eye, Rtn Choo provided glaucoma screening and the Lions Club of Sungai Petani team screened for refractory errors.
