American Ambassador to Malaysia, Her Excellency Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, presented a cheque to the Rotary Cub of Bandar Sungai Petani for a project to provide face masks and hand sanitizers to schools in Sungai Petani and the surrounding areas.
Micron Malaysia, through The American-Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) sponsored RM50,000 for the project. Micron Malaysia has sponsored RM470,000 for Rotary Club of Bandar Sungai Petani's COVID-19 relief projects and a total of RM 2.6 million throughout Malaysia. American companies have donated more than USD 7 million to COVID-19 relief efforts in Malaysia.
Mr Amarjit Sandhu, the Vice-President of Micron Malaysia, and and HR Director Murthy were also at hand to present the cheque.
